You are also offered a tasting of Ferrara cuisine, according to Roberta’s birthplace and cultural roots.

Welcome to the Vecchia Osteria!

The Vecchia Osteria, set in Ponte a Bozzone, is the happy solution created by the sensitivity of Gianluigi Zanon and Roberta Cariani. The inn has an ancient history.

It is told about the Vecchia Osteria in Hans Barth’s Spiritual guide of Italian Inns. The  book was written in 1909 with a preface by Gabriele d'Annunzio:
"... The gem of the inns sets in Siena, about 5 kilometers from the city. It is the "Osteria di Bozzone" which a poet also named "the 500 chamber pots’ tavern" because its hall was decorated with five hundred of those jars, which Socrates had made famous [...] The Chianti you can drink at the Bozzone, together with its delicious and delicate ham from the same Bozzone, gives you a unique pleasure, unforgettable all your life long ... "
